It’s two people, and they share something in common. Only a specific type of person would randomly bring that up to torpedo support for this.

You said it’s a bad look.

I think it’d be great if we lived in a world where violence wasn’t required, and we could, but we don’t. Ideally an actual just justice system would handle things so individuals don’t need to use violence, but it isn’t just.

How does adding chaplains to the loop make things worse? That’s the thing that changed here. The mass grave training was already being done.
Also, as much as it sucks, it’s probably good to train this if you want people to receive “proper” burials. It’s not training expecting it will happen, but training in case it happens. It’s similar to all service members training to fight and shoot, even though the majority will never fire their rifle off the range. Preparation is good so if you need it you can do it without totally fucking things up.

Ah, ok. Well why they would ask chaplains to participate (they’re not taking over) is that they’re basically the ones in charge of burials and religious ceremonies. It makes sense to have them involved to make sure it’s all being done as humanely as possible.

That doesn’t contradict them. Your quote is clearly saying it’s happened before, but this is the first time Army chaplains have been involved. It’s a change of procedure, but not a new activity.
It probably isn’t an issue if you’re doing things properly. Your hashing algorithm shouldn’t care if the character is latin, Chinese, Arabic, or emoji. It’s just a number at the end of the day.

The book probably has nothing to do with Christian Catholicism, and is not a religious sect but a book. That’s a common mistake people make. Catholic is a word outside of that particular sect of Christianity. It means “universal.” In the context of Dune, the Orange Catholic Bible refers to a universal Bible that covers many religions.
It was produced after the Butlerian Jihad to be a basis for everyone to use. There are not “Orange Catholics” as far as I’m aware. Orange and catholic are just descriptions of this essentially encyclopedia of religious texts for people to form their new understanding with after learning to think for themselves once again.

Not just that. They helped them create everything they’ve made. NASA freely helped them design their rockets and gave them their information on technologies that would help them. SpaceX should be, at least in part, if not wholely, publicly owned.

As the other comment explains, it isn’t about morality. It’s about practicality. We have the ability to attempt to reduce our impact to keep the planet healthy, so we have an obligation to do so. A volcano doesn’t have that ability.
If we are absolute hedonists, with no long-term considerations, then the world won’t be livable for humans, or many other animals, in a short period. It’s already getting to the point where many previously inhabitable places aren’t anymore, and that’s with some amount (not enough) of harm reduction.
Let’s reduce this to just you, for an example. Let’s say you’re driving your car. Do you have an obligation to attempt to not harm others with your vehicle? Should you try to not run over children, for example? If so then what’s the difference to the original question? If not then there’s something wrong with you.

How does linking a wiki page, that has nothing to do with the discussion at hand (besides proving feral cats anywhere else came from domestic cat pets, which is contrary to your original argument) prove that you aren’t stupid?

Do you think humans should have an obligation to minimize their impact on their environment? If yes, cats are included in that, and cats aren’t capable of making that decision.
Edit: also holy whataboutism! What the fuck was that about? It has nothing to do with the comment except that cats are involved.

Yes, that’s why my first comment talks about effort, compared to the amount of slop that can be made. You aren’t allowed to steal people’s work, and you’re also required to tag if your game uses gen-AI. It’s just prohibitive to keep up with all of it now.
The legal process though is a formal requirement to sue them. Valve doesn’t need to go through that. They could (and I think do) have a system for developers to claim that a game has stolen its work and request for it to be taken down. You don’t need to go to court for a private company to enforce that. It’s just that, again, it’s impossible to keep up with it now. It’s too easy to create a clone so, even if it’s taken down, another one can appear in its place trivially.

I think you misread what I wrote. It’s already illegal to steal someone’s work. If you’re making a game and releases a demo and then someone copies it, that’s copyright infringement. It’s not a rule that Valve needs to add because it’s an implicit rule because it’s illegal.

No, we have tons of direct names from the UK, and many other places. We have Londons, Norfolks, Portsmouths, and probably any other major city or region in Britain.

IIRC, the war didn’t start because AI started killing humans. It started because humans opposed AI replacing them. There was a religious sect (Butlarians) who opposed this, and they eventually rose up to fight the machines. They weren’t directly attacked first.

No. There are no native cats of this species outside of the area around Turkey (and even there I don’t know if there is anymore, but that’s where the housecat came from). Any feral domestic cat you see came from a pet at some point in time. They were not just there as a feral animal to start with.

Steam already has the first two, and I’m pretty sure it has the third because it’s illegal. It’s just a matter of effort and volume. So many generated games can be put on Steam that it’s almost impossible to keep up. If they don’t disclose generative AI usage then it takes time to discover, and that time can steal the spotlight from the legitimate games.

I’m certain that isn’t true. They are just normally done with all the shit and don’t want to deal with a lot of the same shit but with the addition of being out ruled by any of the other assholes in Congress.
I wouldn’t say it’s trivial. It’s just one more indication of all the rot. There is no enforcement of the laws against them, only the poor.
