I just swapped a brushless DC 12V fan on my LG RC185 VCR. Please excuse the abomination that is the MacGyvered contacts. Forgot to order new these:
So that’s my excuse. Anyway…

Is it okay to let the cord lean/rest against capacitors and whatnot?

Did something similar! Thanks! Used shrinking tubes (without shrinking them. Just for isolation.).
