This guy has become terrible at hiding what his true intentions are. The CEOs want to deny people power so they can hold it over others. It will not work, and local models under 100B are already capable of automating some very powerful tasks.

<proper noun> absolutely hates the idea of [other] people <gerund> their own <noun> at home, argues they shouldn’t <verb> <noun>.

I happen to like verbing my own noun.

I will never, pay for Open AI.

I might, in some future, pay for Claude, but not OpenAI.

But also very much probably not on Claude either.

When anyone asks about “effective altruism,” this ^ is precisely what I’d point to. It’s better than words.

Who the fuck is this guy? Who does he think he is? It’s insane to think that anyone just being themselves would grow a business and in 20 years think that they can tell the entire country what to do. Unelected to power. No consent of the governed.

Oh wait. That’s what they call capitalism.

I wish people would stop repeating without evidence the idea that Luigi M did anything other than get harassed eating at a fast food restaurant. The official story makes no sense - someone apparently recognised him from a blurry CCTV release that is likely another person albeit of the same build and hair colour, and phoned it in with absolute certainty, and then the police happened to find a ‘manifesto’ on him, and then later, not even straight away when he was searched, an improvised weapon. If the real killer could do the crime and get away to a completely different state, they’d have had numerous opportunities to dispose of everything - it just strains credibility.

Consider on the other hand that the powers that be were eager that someone take the fall for this - they couldn’t have the perception that such a thing will go unpunished (see also: the extreme push for the death penalty, and the involvement of very senior political appointees). They can achieve that by picking any random approximately fitting the description off the street and framing them.

Altman argued that ongoing memory supply chain woes were because selfish individuals wanted to run their AI models locally instead of leaving the remaining AI chips alone for hyperscalers to hoard in data centers.

    Selfish? We’re selfish?

Goooo fuck yourself. You’re the problem you fucking cunt, and you know that.

People should get rid of all electronics because they’re not using it as efficient as datacenters.

I for my part have started to be on the lookout for auctioned off cheap PC hardware to build up a spare part depot. I’d rather go back to MS-DOS gaming before I rent a single CPU cycle from these people.
