It is not coup d’état. The Polish Constitution says President takes part on judge swearing ceremony. It doesn’t say he has a veto.

He used it as a veto by refusing to sworn, because, his party few years earlier forcefully replaced judges (breaking Constitution) with their people to hold the majority and now is afraid to lose it.
