Here’s hoping they can find a clear governing coalition without fracturing too much, because the entropy of victory isn’t going to be a fun experience for these guys.

Maybe I’m wrong but I don’t think that’s likely. The protests (I think we can call it a revolution) were peaceful enough that there’s no political room for that kind of escalation. The real fear here I think is the Student List splitting up along ideological lines and leaving room for the “Progressives” (Vuvic’s party) to become relevant again.

Not talking about the Student List. Talking about other opportunists with guns seeing a floundering country. I honestly don’t know enough about the situation, but where does the military stand?

It’s not floundering though, is what I’m trying to say. Things need to get very far from normalcy before taking power by military force becomes a realistic move a group can take (since you need to convince the troops on the ground and their officers to do so), and that didn’t happen in Serbia. You can see that by how Vuvic admitted defeat right away instead of digging in his heels and looking for ways to stay in power; the on-paper system gave its verdict and for the most part that is it.

but where does the military stand?

I haven’t seen anything about the military being a relevant actor.

I see. I was imagining a government being overthrown with help of some military or militia.
