Staffers for Rep. Haley Stevens (D-Mich.) are reportedly resigning over the lawmaker’s recent decision to endorse former Rep. Mike Rogers (R-Mich.) in Michigan’s competitive Senate race.
“Hello, as of November 1st I am no longer with the Office of Congresswoman Haley Stevens,” the automated email reply from Stevens’s former communications director reads.
A statement, first shared by CNN, from Stevens longtime chief of staff Justin German said as of Sunday morning, “Many members of our team have resigned, including myself.”
“We are shocked and heartbroken by Congresswoman Stevens’s decision to support Mike Rogers,” German wrote.

Nate Silver had a post up talking about possible impact. Relevant snippets:

Michigan Democrats really need to knock off the infighting
AES does have solid support at this point, which helps him, and most voters have already said that they’ve decided
Earlier on, when AES and Stevens were fighting each other, AES wasn’t polling so well. This is bad for AES.
The impact is probably limited by the endorsement being so late; this helps AES
Silver says that the fact it could give AES an “anti-establishment” image makes the impact of the endorsement harder to predict, as Michigan favors that
Silver’s guess, based on some estimation and his model, is that this has maybe a 5% chance of causing the Michigan Senate seat to go Republican when it otherwise would have gone Democratic, and maybe a 1% chance of turning control of the Senate Republican when it would have otherwise gone Democratic.
The fact that Stevens would want a Republican over this guy I think most would conclude is a Stevens problem not a Democrat problem.
(People who really know would be aware its an AIPAC problem)
