When Tom Godfrey, the barrister for Mohammed Hassan, one of the defendants, asked about the incident in February 2023, she said that there were two people other than herself in the room, one who was touching her wrist and the other performing a sex act on her.

Godfrey suggested the touch on her wrist may have been bedclothes. She replied: “I disagree – it was a hand around my wrist.”

I don’t know what process there is for censuring a barrister, but this should warrant censure.

I think we need to see a vigilante movement of men making these arrangements and then capping the husbands offering up their wives.
