The government doesn’t care about your data. They just sell it. And it will happen no matter what apps or encryption you use, theirs is better and they will get what they want. So next chart you post ill be on there too talking about how you all manufacture outrage at getting spied on when it’s been happening since 2001 and honestly if you have a cellphone in hand you’re tracked no matter what apps you use or proxies to make phone calls or receive texts.

It depends for everyone. But after moving to proton last year, I have no problem spending an evening moving all my services to mailbox.org. Because that means that at least I can give my money to one less company that treats their employees with such contempt.
The problem with proton is that their CEO is a complete ass. Personally, I wouldn’t feel good if I renewed my subscription in a couple of weeks.
Give it time and I’m sure we will find out many more CEOs and companies are asses as well. Just hasn’t come out yet. The AI bs, greed, etc is becoming the norm. I agree, I am moving from Proton as well, but it just seems to be the norm and happening more and more. Which company is next?
