Haven’t seen Anbernic’s promotional materials showcasing the given fork, but either if their fork is indeed piracy-oriented or not, I’d imagine it works to make clear the two teams or their works aren’t related. Also, in case Anbernic finds itself in hot waters and Nintendo’s ninjas start stalking them, the Azahar team already “got theirs out of the line” (Portuguese expression translated).
Anbernic already in hot water with the ESA over providing roms with hardware purchases.
