I liked it. I admit to being biased in favor of Flanagan. I have critiques, but net enjoy every single thing he’s made that I have seen so far.

I was fine with the alteration to the end with how the deaths came about, diverting from the book and setting up a second season. I’ll stop there to avoid spoilers.

Seems good so far and I hope to finish by holloween. I assume the avengers thing if you will is because otherwise its going to be hard to have more seasons. I notice it appears only females have abilities in the universe unless I missed something.

I LOVED it! The casting was pretty much perfect and I really liked the modernization for the story. Most of the needle drops were great too, solid season overall.

SPOILERS DON’T READ IF YOU HAVENT FINISHED:
I didn’t mind the change in the prom scene, mostly because the credits cut to screaming after the blood fell was perfect.

But Flannigan is a master of excelling at the race and faceplanting at the finish line. I know he’s invested in the Dark Tower and there’s a Season 2 on the way, but that ending felt hamfisted while the rest of the story fit together really elegantly. I felt similarly in Midnight Mass too

I watched the original and the later remake. Did they reboot again?

I thought that overall there was a lot to like, and some good performances throughout, but I also found the climax to be a bit underwhelming.
