The history of Laika and especially the release of Wildwood has convinced me that the Disney exec who said that audiences don’t actually want creative movies, was 100% right.

Props to Travis Knight for at least trying to make us watch good creative movies.

I think they were expecting to see around $10m so I am sure they are thrilled with the result.

It’s excellent(as with all their movies though I didn’t see their last one) and much more complex than your typical animated movie, they’re for mature kids and adults.

It’s a love story to Portland and fantasy and is wonderful.

Closest thing I’ve seen approach Spirited Away quality from a North American studio.

      Go watch Missing Link!

It completely slipped by me, I found out about it last year and it is absolutely delightful.

Really? I will then, I heard it didn’t do well and thought maybe LAIKA finally missed. I should have given them the benefit of the doubt

Its definitely one of the weaker LAIKA films but thats mostly because it’s delightful instead of masterful.

Great watch and is only on the lower end of the scale because half of their catalog are masterpieces.
