Vista was better than win10. Fight me.

Only problem with it was performance, but I personally had it on a somewhat decent machine and dont remember having any hassle with it. Win10, on the other hand, is where they went full on “you will own nothing” philosophy to the point of resetting user settings, removing controls, remotely installing unwanted adware and injecting unremoveable spyware into the os, with only redeeming point for stepping back on the horrendous win8 UI… kinda, not fully. People tend to shit on win11 yet it only does the same things win10 was doing for a whole decade.

It’s Richard Ayoade (Eye-Oh-Wah-Dee) and I think this may be from The IT Crowd which is hilarious but I don’t recognize this scene from that show. It’s been a long time since I’ve seen it though. Its a mid 2000s show.

Edit: the more I watch it the more I think that’s it bc the other guy looks to be Chris O’Dowd who was also in that show.

Correct! I.T Crowd. If I recall correctly this was from one of the very last episodes that may have only been released on disc! :)

In this scene they get caught up in a bomb threat, and the computer for the robot has technical issues so the cops ask if anybody knows computers. Moss asks the operating system.

It could very well be the last episode. :)

I thought so too, until I noticed the letters floating at an angle. Still cool, but not as cool as it would have been as actual animated ASCII art.

    What counts as a computer?

It’d be pretty cool if I could get the Antikythera mechanism to run Vista
