WIRED says it’s stock Android.
“Stock Android” is pretty well-defined. what do you think it means?

this doesn’t really present the logic though? if i were a tubthunping politicker i would easily reply “they already were elected through the open process of the democratic caucus leadership election”. i don’t see a replacement for this two-century–old practice coming any time sooner than proportional representation

TL;DR: a stock Android option is available where you still can sideload
that’s only if you choose the “anti-distraction” OS where nearly no apps are available. stock android is also an option (on which sideloading is still very much possible but harder with a waiting period after the restrictions you’ve probably heard of).
i think this feature of the anti-distraction OS is probably a misstep if it can’t be overridden, but you do not have to use the anti-distraction OS at all.
Edit: Added TL;DR

I do not believe SearXNG has any peer-to-peer components.

it is possible to make the school wifi apply google restrictions on google websites

what makes what the article describes slop?

“model” means “mode”, not LLM here:
He therefore hopes that the unusually large number of commits “is a sign that the AI fixes are becoming more part of the ‘normal development’ than a flood of fixes that go into the whole stabilization phase."
“I think that’s a much healthier model,” he added, before hedging with the observation that “people are expecting 7.4 to be the next LTS [long-term support] release, which is another independent reason why some releases tend larger than others.”

You’re understating how big said single loop was. It follows that methods with mass adoption would be much more widely supported than more niche "single loop"s.
oftentimes concern can drastically under- or over- state reality, which is why ze’s asking this to measure reality
