If you need to compute on the GPU (for example, to be able to run Davinci Resolve), getting that to work on Linux is much easier with nvidia than with AMD. For playing games and stuff, AMD is fine and probably a bit better/easier. But if you need to run computation on your GPU under Linux, nvidia is the way to go.

From what I’ve heard, a lot of red states have been very greedy lately – going to 5% or even 2.5% margins in winning districts. And I think 2026 is going to show them what a bad idea that was.
