Sorry but this is complete cope. I left reddit after the API debacle and even I will begrudgingly admit the site stayed at least as useful as it was before, if not more so. I repeatedly come back to find answers to obscure questions less than 3 years old, I wish there was somewhere else to go.
Honestly I like it. The few examples I tried worked perfectly fine even on mobile. Can I vouch for the quality and veracity of each and every play? No of course not but I can bear this caveat in mind while not parting with a ridiculous £30 a month or £216 if you want to stump up the money upfront. Fuck wanky subscription services in general, I for one am glad you came up with this and hope you will continue improving it. Well done you!
If ummm akshually was a comment.
Dude chill, OP is trying to provide pirated media service for his retired relative, not host Area 51 archives or pacemaker as a service.
There is some great advice in here but I wanted to throw my two cents in by saying bollocks to Hetzner, they get circlejerked far too much. Go with Contabo instead, 4 core 8GB VPS with 100GB SSD is $5 a month right now and has a generous 30TB/month bandwidth allowance.
Great advice all throughout but especially on using LLMs to harden your security. The config it helped me complete for Crowdsec in days would have taken me months otherwise.
Thanks for asking, it took like 6 transforms. I cannot claim to understand them entirely as they are partly vibecoded but the panel works!
Sorry for the spam but I in fact managed to join the two panels together. y-axis is users and x-axis is timeline of what they watched. Grafana unfortunately does not natively support different colour for each series block.
Jellyfin exporter has all kind of metrics but the ones that interest me most are active users and media played. I have a nice panel that shows who played what, when and for how long. Would also highly recommend monitoring your torrent server, that has produced all kinds of useful and interesting (to me!) metrics.
Other than the items you mentioned I have dashboards for:
Again since you are not getting the point: Reddit has grown more useful than ever before despite all their enshittification. What you said about going dumber is a cope and subjective at best, subject matter communities still find their home at Reddit and neither content or user numbers have shown signs of abating. Shitposting subs are copying slop from other platforms, who cares? It has always been this way, not like X/Insta don’t copy memes from Reddit.
