Do we know for a fact that the models being used for US requests are the same as those used for foreign requests? If so, how do we know this?

Isn’t this simply a byproduct of the training data?
For conversations in US English or more generally sourced from USians that end up in training data, there will be supporters and deniers, as with any issue. Conversations about it outside of the US are likely to have far less conspiratorial support.
The model isn’t doing any critical thinking here… what mechanism would even support that under the hood? Feels like another thing that is only weird if you assume AI actually works like a human.

Though the headline suggests that the “promiscuous life” statement and the charge reduction were related, the article says otherwise:
After a delay in court, the judge told the jury there was “insufficient evidence” to support the original charge and that they should find Brand not guilty of this particular allegation.
And it’s a good thing: promiscuity has nothing to do with consent. You can be the world’s sluttiest slut and get consent every time. In fact, that’s the only way to be the world’s sluttist slut and not be a rapist.

What a wildly stupid idea.

Tbh, I figured Apple taking their time on these was because they were trying to improve the engineering over the Android folding screen offerings.
Now I wonder if they just wait because everyone assumes Apple would try and make it better, and then they just sell a bunch + the Apple tax, even though it’s just as bad of a product. Like, the marketing team just saying: “wait a couple years”.
An optimist might call these kinds of “psychopatriarchal” responses a death roll, for the toxic portion of the population which finally feels challenged for their position. Then again, I long ago stopped being an optimist.
