Honestly maybe insane take but it’s either a skill issue or a refusal to accept new pathways of doing stuff. I’ve used basically every os and mobile os at some point and I’ve never had issues learning or finding new workflows. Yes things will be different, yes you may not be able to do some things. But you also can absolutely do some new things and learn if you’re willing to accept that it’s different and stop trying to do everything the way you already know. Plus basically everyone has access to the internet, it’s hilarious to me how often people will go “I wonder about this fact” and I’m like “you literally carry a computer in your pocket”. Now sometimes what to search can be hard but as with anything practice allows one to eventually become proficient. If people really don’t want to learn new stuff and expect it to be the same they simply shouldn’t switch.

I expect us the tech literate / enthusiasts / professionals, advocating about this feel similarly to climate scientists. Screaming into the void as it all goes to shit.

As in the radicle that had an egregious issue that broke private repositories “oops!” because network traffic was unencrypted, and is backed by an extremely tiny team? I’m not really sure how radicle is better. I am unenthused by all current federated git attempts at the moment.

Me I’m one of them. That’s what an iPad is for if you want that honestly. I despise shy modicum of cruft on my laptop screens
