There are plenty triple and quadruple star systems that manage to survive. If two stars in such a system are closer to each other than to the rest, then they essentially form a single binary that is independent of the other bodies. Alpha Centauri comes to mind, the nearest star system to us. A and B are close to each other, and Proxima, the third one in the system and closest star to the sun, essentially rotates around the first pair.

World News@quokk.au•Stock Market Bloodbath Spikes Fears of AI Bubble BurstingEnglish
2·3 days agoEven better! It’s all going on the giant tab that future generations will have to pay. Because that’s what they have been doing for 30 years now and it’s only mildly inconvenienced everyone so far (meaning the debt interest payments are so huge, they are starting to drown out everything else).

Europe@feddit.org•Europe's question? Whether US is still an ally or notEnglish
5·7 days agoIt so happened a few days ago that the President of the USA declared at one of his rallies that he’d welcome it if someone took out Los Angeles or San Diego.
It sounds like it’s pointless to ask if the US is an ally of Europe, when it’s not even an ally of its own largest cities.

Interesting. The only thing between the Lincoln Memorial and Arlington National Cemetery is Columbia Island, so that’s where the arch is supposed to go? Admittedly, that’s not the worst location possible.
