Centrism is often far-right pretending to be rational and pragmatic.
We have the same ones in France.

That’s right. They are a geo-political threat.
EDIT: Actually I’m going to contradict myself. Russia actively tries to prop dicators in the US. They are an ideological threat. Not because that threat was also active internally that you can’t consider them a threat.

… he would shit on them.

And no harsh reaction to that foreign interference yet? Because it feels like for Canadians, yawning at the wrong time would definitely be a major interference.

Err… no to destroy anyone’s dream, but these EV exist only because of politics: the country has heavily subsidized the EV sector, at national level, provincial level and ciy level. It was considered stmategic and they poured as much money on it as they could.
10–12k USD EV are the result of politics!

Multiple companies have that approach, I’m not denying there ARE companies doing things right (or at least better).
I work in a company using multiple agents. One of them is supposed to be off Internet, and even with that one we’re not to share sensitive IP.
But Proton is not an isolated case. I bet some execs have invested and promised so much they need to report some good numbers on usage, and you can’t make up productivity improvement if there are people left getting as much done without AI.

AI policies are so dumb. You don’t evaluate people’s perfs on how much they use a tool. So what’s the damn end goal of such evaluation??
"Hey! I did nothing useful this year, but all with AI! -You’re promoted!!
I fixed hundreds of bugs and developed 3 new features all cheered by users! -With AI? -Err… not much -You’re fired!!"

That still creates a procedural precedence. That means small orgs can get paralyzed from any US whim if they don’t have the means to quickly transfer their servers.
Now the US can ramp up the effort, asking for another server, and another, hey, here’s a list for now. The next one is coming in 3 days.
They currently dodge taxes by transferring all benefits to the country with the lowest tax rate within the EU: Ireland. It’s easy, you just have the Irish branch charging bullshit fees to other entities that match their revenues.
Besides that

But this previous tax was largely criticized for being ineffective against big tech also. Given it didn’t work that well, this one is the next attempt.
One day, one can hope, they’ll ask a tax expert instead of their guts… or asses…
