According to a new survey, the fear of AI outranked fears of a loved one "becoming seriously ill," or "people I love dying."

I’m not scared of generative models. I am scared that oligarchs with unlimited resources and increaseing influence will face no consequences for their crimes.

When a disease threatens a loved one, at least nobody insists it’s an exciting opportunity to disrupt the family. With AI, billionaires are actively funding the risks, lobbying against safeguards, and asking us to applaud their vision. Apparently »move fast and break things« hits differently when the thing is society.
