He is an asset of Trump (more specifically of Rubio) to destabilize Brazil’s democracy. He lost and now he is going to the US to ask asylum. Besides that, he’s a notorious corrupt politician and there are many criminal investigations that will proceed now that he’s close to losing parliamentary protection.
He’s probably going to do the same thing his dad did, something incredibly stupid and illegal.

Bolsonaro allies told Metrópoles [news outlet] that he would land in Florida on Tuesday afternoon and planned to request political asylum. “The Donald Trump administration has been informed,” the website added.
A US state department spokesperson said Bolsonaro and his family would be granted visas “to allow them entry into the United States.”
Bolsonaro has had Italian citizenship since 2023 and reportedly possesses a passport from the European country.

Pretty much. All of this is part of their theater. He flies from facing the consequences of his crimes but the far right will of course spin it around, lying about some political witch hunt.
