Former President Barack Obama on Saturday seized on what he described as cruelty and indecency coming from President Donald Trump and his Republican allies, stepping into one of the nation’s ugliest midterm fights as he worked to rally Democratic voters in two Midwestern battlegrounds.

First in Ohio, Obama took aim at Republican gubernatorial candidate Vivek Ramaswamy, who has doubled down on an advertising campaign featuring the estranged mother of Democratic rival Dr. Amy Acton. Trump and Vice President JD Vance have also defended the ad, even as Republican leaders across Ohio, including Gov. Mike DeWine, have called for its removal.

I understand that both Obama and Clinton deported more people from the US… but the way they did it may support the argument that Trump’s method was more about the display of terror and meeting his bases expectation to meet his campaign promise of hurting the other people.

So you’re saying they both did horrible things but one party did it in a way that gets their team to vote for them and the other party did it in a different way that was designed to get their team to vote for them?

Not really beating that Blue MAGA accusation

LOL, “rule of law”. Are you honestly saying that without even a shred of awareness? The rule of law is a euphemism for murdering the poor. Immigration limits are needed because the Western world has been totally destroying the homes and lives of the global majority for 600 years.

The rule of law is the rule of law. You can mean what you want, but by default it means what it is. Without laws (which we are dangerously close to with the ruling elite now), we have no society. You can want higher immigration, and accommodation for people already integrated - and that’s great, but I suspect you still want the law to regulate immigration somehow.

Then why the fuck are you commenting on our politics! In the USA, the rule of law has produced the largest carceral state in the history of humanity. The US rule of law imprisons more people per capita than the Soviet GULAG did at its height and imprisons multiple times more people than China has ever imprisoned. The rule of law in the USA is a farce.

Unfortunately, the collapse of the U.S. affects other countries around the world. And I can comment on whatever the fuck I want to comment on. Yes the rule of law in the U.S. is a farce. But that doesn’t mean a civil society shouldn’t have laws. Specifically immigration regulation is often required to manage resources and prevent overloading.
