House Judiciary Committee Democrats on Monday released an unsigned staff report laying out what they call “the case against Donald Trump emerging in the Epstein Files and DOJ’s desperate efforts to cover it up,” with those Democrats now calling for an independent special counsel to investigate the president as well as what they describe as Attorney General Todd Blanche’s conflicts of interest and the Justice Department’s reluctance to share relevant evidence with state and foreign law enforcement.
“The women who survived Epstein deserve to be heard,” the top Democrat on the House Judiciary Committee, Rep. Jamie Raskin, D-Md., said in a statement. “Congress must have the complete files required by law, and an independent special counsel must investigate Epstein’s co-conspirators and DOJ’s cover-up and ensure that state and foreign prosecutors have the evidence they need to pursue justice.”
The more than 50-page report alleges that Trump was “an active participant in Jeffrey Epstein’s abuse of young women in the mid-to-late 1990s.” Although it also contains at least one entirely new allegation against the president, it provides no direct evidence other than the woman’s own conversations with Judiciary Committee staff.

I don’t know how common it is, but while growing up, I often heard from adults that a girl becomes a woman with her first period.
There are also pretty big events in many cultures for turning 15/16 (like the quinceañera) that generally map to a similar “becoming a woman” type of thing.
Not the same as the general timeframe for a first period, but also not the same as 18 in the US where Epstein is most relevant.

Heard it through the grapevine that Hilton Head Island is a hub for it too. There’s a golf tournament there every year where a bunch of giant yachts roll in. It’s hard to find the specific documents I’m referring to, but if my memory serves me, there was a description of drugs running through the house. And speculation they were being manufactured there. And women and very young women sex workers.
I believe the document was a police report. Or FBI report. It described reports by neighbors. Which is where the description of a man matching Steve Banon was.
Unfortunately I can’t easily locate it. I may have the city wrong, maybe not. but when I search “Epstein files Detroit” , all I get are results for an Epstein exibit in Detroit. If I come across the documents again, I’ll post a link or screen shot of them.

This report was from a while back. Maybe early 2000s. I cant recall for sure but I don’t think it was recent.
It’s shitty that it’s so hard to navigate those files.
I had an idea when they came out, to create a community effort to organize and tag files with dates, type of document (police report, interview, internal FBI documents, email, etc). Who was corresponding or the author. Keywords. Like locations mentioned. Notable names. And of course the file number. And if other files were referenced or connected.
Could be done pretty easy with spreadsheets. And then you could make a fairly simple search engine to navigate the meta data assigned to each file.
Assign volunteers 10 documents at a time. Have a few trustworthy leads that compile the Excel sheets. Keep backups on external drives.
Would also help find all the duplicate files.
The sheer volume though requires a huge number of volunteers.
Assigned files need tracked to specific users (can assign IDs) so that if we get a troll or bot or someone intentionally fucking up the list, we can pull all of their assigned file data.
And have a few quality checkers pull random files from users to check for accuracy. Provide feedback and identify bad actors.

Also need people to review files with high similarity of tag data to see if duplicate and verify.

But yeah, it would be a team effort. An enormous project with the sheer number of files there are. Might be a use case for some automation, with human review of course. Even just a macro or something.

I also work directly in technical legal risk, and I know what lawyers recommend companies and why, and they are the most risk averse people on earth. Of course they will recommend the course of action the incurrs zero legal risk.
Companies chose not to listen to their lawyers based on analysis of risk literally constantly. Just like they don’t always listen to engineering, HR, or any other department.

I wasn’t talking just about Epstein. There are many many examples of Republicans raping children. In fact, Republican states keep trying to lower the age of marriage to get around child rape laws, with Texas allowing marriage as young as 14.
