Culturally EU and US are very similar, and it makes all the sense to for them to be allies. However the current US administration is very hostile to the EU, and there is no doubt that they aren’t allies, at least in the near future.

Trump I was considered an aberration. Trump II proved it was not. I’m not sure how you can still be unsure about this.
