Culturally EU and US are very similar, and it makes all the sense to for them to be allies. However the current US administration is very hostile to the EU, and there is no doubt that they aren’t allies, at least in the near future.

The more important question is to know if this is restricted to the current administration, or if they just let the mask fall off.

Started with OpenOffice and then LibreOffice. Not a power user but I’ve been using it for close to 20 years, and no complains. For the vast majority of the users, it will do the job. No need to waste money on other stuff.
