We should have a global Land Value Tax on the top 1%.

It’s funny how American media is always talking about the economy yet they seem to have zero economic literacy

Yeah; that was my thought too. I don’t disagree that the middle class in trouble; but this post doesn’t address 49% of the population

In the UK the middle class also largely seem to not want to help the working class. I have seen them complain about things which help the working class as it brings them closer to the middle class and they don’t like it. Things like a livable minimum wage.

That’s interesting; I always thought the middle class was a subset of the working class

How the concept of “middle class” implies income is distributed:

      How income is actually distributed:

you’re trying to contrive a way this could be okay. an angle you could look from where you won’t are how terrifying and atrocious this is.

I’ll sell you the drugs that can make it possible, but fair warning: that blue pill is mostly ketamine. you’re gonna need daipers after.

Im not contriving a way for this to be okay, Im pointing out the massive gap in excluding almost half the problem to try and make a point.

There is quite clearly a problem, but trying to say that theres no “middle class” (a concept meant to mollify a large swath of people) by implying a group who owns 65% of wealth doesnt matter is terrible logic.
