I don’t think politics are for her. She’s taking things way too personally and seems to have main character syndrome.

Campaigns, particularly in the week before the election of a competitive race, have so much going on. You can’t possibly devote much time to any one person without it taking away from several other places. If you’re raising your hand for attention, it should only be about how you can help out.

My read is that Abdul’s campaign asked her not to attend because they got the feeling she can’t stop making things about her and that would be destructive at such a late stage.

Bullet dodged. Imagine if she’d won that primary. The right is just trying to wring all the use out of their asset now that she’s useless, and that “peace mission” never had a chance. Good riddance!

I mean just consider how many MAGA/ Republican sleeper agents are already present in the Democratic party who made it there under the banner of “ABWD”?

These types of Democrats still make up the core of the party, and almost exclusively make up leadership.

Tell me when Schumer stepped in and told Andrew Cuomo he needed to not run because the voters had decided, and that Mamdani was the candidate?

Show me where Jefferies came out unabshedly in support for Darializa?

The core of the party are Democrats who will happily support fascism and thats why we have fascism.

This was always the fight, dragging politics this far to the right took decades, it’s not going to be an easy or quick fix to get it back.

This says so much more about Steven’s than it for anybody else. You cannot possibly claim to be a Democrat a month ago, then support somebody that has the views that Roger’s has.

Clearly she is hoping to get something out of this. Maybe a conservative podcast or a fox news appearance or something.

For me, the best part about all of this is that her motivations don’t seem to matter to anyone. Associating with a Republican is crime enough for a ton of people to drop her like the radioactive waste she is, and that brings me joy.

Bullet barely dodged but glad it was dodged with a candidate that actually has a strong moral character. However you know that she’s far from the only one who would and do sell out Democrats and Progressives for a buck.

But without the DNC backing them, this will keep happening.

We can’t do anything until the neoliberals are up for midterms, but we don’t have to do anything special

Every primary should be competitive, I don’t care if it’s AOC or Fettermen.

As long as every primary is competitive and non biased, progressives will keep winning.

It’s all down hill from here, but in a good way. Just keep up with momentum and turning voting into something we view as a constant battle. We’ll never “win” enough that we can stop caring. Every primary and every general need to be treated as important, even if your ballot is boring.

It’s been a loooong time since there was real primary competition for the local congress seat. Shit was bought and sold long ago, enforced by a “power broker” (read: mob boss) who rules regional politics with an iron fist. And the general is just a long string of ~70/30 splits. There was no challenger for the senate seat, either.

Progressives have been making a tiny bit of headway at the local level, at the cost of endless lawsuits and harassment for daring to go against the machine. But the vast majority of committee positions etc are patron/nepo placements even though they’re “elected.” Shit is thoroughly corrupt.

          Yes, I still voted.

Just kick her to the curb and never acknowledge her existence ever again. She’s a big baby who is in the can for genocide. Her name has no value and she’s an unperson.

IDK, it sounds like she was butthurt. Then the money and her fiancee’s ideologies on top of that… Still, you may be right and she was just playing a part to become a saboteur like Fetterman and Synema.

That’s possible, but it looks like she was leaning in that direction for awhile. If she was already on the take, she was a really good actress, apparently.

It’s the same sell as the rest…

Compromise on this, and we’ll get you elected and you can do so much!

It’s not that the people who fall for it are monsters, it’s an incredibly sophisticated manipulation network that’s been running for literal generations.

Like, she straight up had two agents as handlers, and likely had no idea. Maybe she knew by now, but I doubt she did when they were hired.

Write them off as individual monsters who were always wrong in the head, and it just gives us a false sense of security. The truth is scarier, and why we need to crack down on foreign interference and pac money in general

Perfect example that Amerikkka and all it’s institutions are controlled by the bourgeoisie but liberals will still say the western world has “democracy” and that they can “vote out fascism”
