It’s worse than the first in every way.

The animation is worse, the voices are worse, the songs and music are worse and the story is worse. It may have some nostalgia value for certain people, but How the Grinch Stole Christmas is a classic for a reason, and this is almost completely forgotten.

I skimmed a bit of it and ya it’s pretty blatant how hard they’re trying to rinse and repeat the success of the christmas movie.

Is it at least so-bad-it’s-good enough to watch with friends on Halloween like the Star Wars Holiday Special on Christmas Life Day?

No. It’s not even really bad, it’s just exceedingly mediocre, especially as compared to the first.

For me it’s when I’m seeing them blatantly reusing old animations. Like I get that it’s a standard practice for hand animated stuff. But disney you literally have show things side by side to ruin it.

          Major Force Awakens vibes.

      Agreed.

I watched it for the first time a few years ago in hopes that it would have Halloween music of a similar quality to Christmas. It was a let down.
