Talking about it and getting laws passed and making that happen is “asking for that”. All those things take time, resources, and advertising. There’s a dozen other major issues that effect many more people, including the trans people themselves. You really think the Republicans in government actually care about what bathroom you use? It’s just a distraction from things that are really important to them.
Less emphasis needs to be put into helping the like 2% of people, and much more on the general 80%+ percent of people who would be better off with lungs like lower taxes, government security over reach, corrupt politicians, taxing billionaires, getting so much money out of politics, better pay and benefits, and social healthcare, etc.
Trans rights effect a small amount of people and way too much prioritization is being thrown at it. It’s pretty much just a distraction so none of the bigger issues get taken care of.

Did you even read the article? They blew out her veins and never administered it into her blood stream. Her stating that her arm felt like it was on fire and that the administors were having a hard time pushing saline is proof to the fact. It’s not designed to kill you if it isn’t injected into the blood stream. The old stock 100% had nothing to do with it.

Unless you actually know the shelf life of pentobarbital, that argument isn’t even worth making.
All drugs are required to have an expiration date. Drug companies will only go so far out on that time period in order to cover their asses. Plus, it’s bad for business if you’re selling meds put people could still safely use them 20 years later and don’t need to buy fresh stock. Pentobarbital could start losing potency in 5 years, or it could be shelf stable for 100.
Regardless, this wasn’t the drugs fault. A flipping 24 gauge needle. Oof. I’m just an EMT and I know that’s way too stupidly small. Not to mention all the other signs.
I’d imagine that’s pretty rare with watches. I’d guess if they aren’t just wearing an apple or Samsung watch, they’re wearing something like a Parmegiani.
