Interesting. I wonder if that’s why my SD card has issues installing then. Trying to download and unpack at the same time and it’s just not feasible.

Ah yes. Elder Scrolls VI: Official Name Reveal
100%, but it’s really just to cut down on grinding JRPGs stuff.
Like adding 999 Rare Candies to a Pokemon game.
Or maxing out Materia for FF7 Remake.
I will also occasionally use a save editor, for example. To unlock a late game companion in Mass Effect 2, because they’re one of the most interesting squad mates in the game and you only get them for about 3-5 hours in most playthroughs. Plus they have a bunch of dialogue in the game naturally, and seemingly were meant to be unlocked earlier.
It’s
Legion, my beloved.

Can you edit the title of your post to add the title of the game? We have the technology.

Yeah I just assumed I’d drop a few frames. Guess I’ll stick to playing Celeste or something like that if I’m playing anything while downloading.

Ah it’s no big deal. Just a behavioral issue on my end then.
I wouldn’t care if the SD card wrote a bit faster. I mean I get approximately 20-50 Mbps down from Steam. Taking ~12 hours to download 100 gigs to an SD card is a little insane.
I can do the same process on my SSD in ~1 hour for what it’s worth.

9 times out of ten rerunning the installer and selecting repair for Decky fixes it.
The other time it broke was due to SteamGrid crashing whenever I would hover over the Decky icon after hitting thr QAM.

I’ve had issues with that plugin before, during 3.6 I want to say.
Up to you.
If an update to SteamOS does bork your system, you can always roll back.

Otherwise, happy tinkering. I recommend MicroSDeck if you have multiple SD cards you swap between too.
And Decky Localsend, so you can transfer files without going out of game mode.

Use Stable Steam. Before any version update I disable SteamGridDB, as this one is prone to breaking.
I stopped using CSS loader since we have Big Art Mode as an option now, which also caused crashes on occasion.
You could add the Decky installer package (might be the wrong word here) to Steam from Desktop mode to run a reinstall without going to Desktop mode for convenience. Or more future-proofed, use this.

Technically it was Mass Effect!
But I bought it on Origin.
Genuinely cannot believe it. Never thought I’d see a democratic senator from SC.
