I’m quite certain that any application of civil rights would cause problems with the authorities.

We must not forget that that is how our government in this country is intended to operate: adversarily, and by means of that, democratically. Fascists function by breaking down democratic systems of any kind.

Speaking out against, criticizing, the current government is our number one protected right as Americans. Telling a president to go fuck [them]self is among the most patriotic actions one can take

    But, you know, there’s context

And why would the cops be upset with tracking them? Aren’t they supposed to serve the public, and don’t they spend most of their time out in public spaces?

Don’t ever open your door for police that don’t have a warrant.

It did feel really weird that they were asking me what my ‘intentions were’…

If you knew anything at all about police you wouldn’t have thought it was weird at all.

"I started to wonder, how hard is it to actually make a company like Flock?” Sistilli explained in a YouTube video.

Making a company like Flock is not very hard technically.

What’s hard is to buy the right politicians, and to trick enough police departments into depending on your system, to be allowed to conduct sketchy mass-surveillance with total impunity.

This guy solved the technical problem, but didn’t have the means - or the desire - to take care of the corruption side of things.
