I’ve been saying it for a while: Trump is going to build up the bases on Greenland and declare it U.S. territory. This is just part of that plan.
No he’s not. He isn’t doing shit there. He may claim he does, but he won’t do anything.
Because he can’t.Why can’t he? Nobody will stop them. The world should be hoping for a US civil war. Meanwhile, they should build up their defenses (which they are) and even prepare to invade should a civil war happen.

Invading a NATO ally is a whole different ball game than launching an illegal Middle East war. They’re only replaced, at my last count, 10% of the General Staff. That’s not nearly enough for total control and doesn’t count thousands and thousands of lower ranking officers.
What makes you think they need total control? When has the American Military ever not gleefully committed crimes?
There may be some internal conflict and discharges all over the place, but I think most of the military would be on board with it.
On board with invading a NATO country?! Think on that some more. It’s not up there with nukes, but we’re well past merely fucked up geopolitics.
The American Military has never had any qualms about murdering their own citizens. What makes you think they’d have any qualms about invading a NATO country?
And when has the American military murdered its own citizens? A handful of National Guard at Kent State? That’s it?
But let’s stipulate that they’re just fine with killing US citizens. Going against NATO’s military is a very different proposition.
I keep trying to explain this to people who don’t understand how fascists think. Just because the deal you signed with him was technically already in place doesn’t mean they don’t think it’s a win. Fascism just declares that a victory and moves on as if they’ve won, this is literally what they do.
And it is a win. When you back down to a fascist they take it as a win. Even if you think it’s a strategic withdrawal. They gain momentum they and gain moral authority in the eyes of the populace. Voting populace. Not to mention the rank and file.
And in this case I think they gain actual victory considering the fact that they’re now operating with impunity and no one’s going to stop them.

They fooled the idiot into signing a new pact on military bases that’s a carbon copy of the old one. That’s what he’s on about. Add in dementia and now the toddler thinks we won Greenland.
What do you mean? This administration is known for fucking up every deal. This is a victory in the sense that they got the same deal instead of something worse.
