Back in 2020 we, Denmark, culled all Danish minks because there were signs that covid-19 could spread to mink and perhaps mutate that way.
Controversial to say the least and compensation was given to these farmers. What’s cruel is that the government didn’t put a stop to the industry right then and there, because instead these mink farmers just opened up business right after covid-19 and now they have to shut down again - probably resulting in another wave of compensation. What a fucking clown show.

But of course, worse of all is the mink having to suffer… At least they won’t moving forward.

Besides Danablu cheese, most Danish cheese is pretty “safe” (bit boring). Unlike countries like France we (I happen to be a Danish dairy man) don’t use raw milk for cheese production because we had some bad listeria outbreaks some 100 years ago meaning all milk must be pasteurised, a law that went into effect in 1935. But that’s also why Danablu is a bit more interesting, as it only undergoes thermisation at 60°C for 1 minute instead of the usual at least 72-76°C/15sec.
Anyway, it’s a lot of Danbo and Havarti, nothing too exciting.

I do agree that opening channels which bypass USA is good. I’m just thinking more of the fact that only Norway and Finland speaking with Russia isn’t a good look for European unity.

Yeah this tracks for the Danish government. So I found the original press release from back in 2025 and I’ve sent them an email asking wtf is going on. They had 38 press releases for all of 2025, and for 2026 there’s been just 4 total, and the year is almost over.
Not sure what is going on, except that we (Denmark) had a election year and it took 69 (nice) days to form a government, and that might’ve influenced how things are run there. It is funny though because our new government is slightly more left-leaning this time around, at least on paper, so one would think they’d be more interested in moving away from Microsoft.

I’m actually surprised Urban Dictionary doesn’t have a better definition of femoid, but they do of moid.
