I don’t know if that’s the takeaway from that story.

I don’t know if that’s the takeaway from that story.

What’s it going to do anyway?

Are you seriously suggesting that we don’t need competitors to Apple in the phone market?
You realise that pretty much every innovation in iOS has been in Android for years sometimes decades before implemented by Apple. I think the last major innovation from Apple was iTunes, and it was crap.

I’ve had many foldables and I’ve never broken them, and I’m not gentle with them, it’s not in a phone case, and being dropped several times. I think if it was dropped in the open state that might be a problem, but when it’s closed it’s actually protecting itself.
In some ways you’re more likely to damage a traditional phone screen since it’s always on the outside and it’s made of glass and more likely to crack when dropped.
There’s no scratches on mine but it is a fingerprint magnet. That’s what you get for having a plastic screen.

Don’t worry, they still have the Apple phone sock to keep them company in these dark times.

So the maximum number of folds it could take was 10,006. Unlucky.

99% of the budget went on advertising, 0.9% went on tokens to Vibe code the engineering and 0.1% on manufacturing

I think thorium reactors are more complicated though. You have to achieve very high pressure or they don’t work. They just hasn’t really been an impetus to develop the technology.

It’s a problem if you use radiated heating which is what most homes in Europe use. It’s not impossible to solve you just hook the heat pump into a heat exchanger and transfer the heat into a hot water tank. It’s just a hot water tanks tend to take up a lot of space and it’s an extra component to you need added.

It always reignites in the morning.

To be fair the construction time on a star is actually a really long compared to nuclear.

Not enough to reduce the benefits to zero and that’s all we need. As improvements come in you can upgrade the batteries over time and get better and better margins. But the system is already good enough for deployment.

Yeah, damn governments holding all the uranium for themselves. It’s just not fair.

Unless you live inside the Arctic circle heat pumps will work in the winter. I think they’ve been proven to work down to -20c
Even if you did live somewhere where heat pumps were not viable for some or the entirety of the year you could still use solar and just heat with electricity. So that mostly a solved problem. The bigger issue is that they are a pain to install into existing properties especially if they don’t have ducted heating.

What movies are distinction between a geographical definition of a continent and a political definition.
The geographical definition of a continent puts large parts of China in Europe and that just doesn’t seem right. It also means that New Zealand is its own continent all on its own.

I’m pretty certain South Africa is bigger than Brazil perhaps at second biggest country in the Southern hemisphere?
Yeah I know what a biscuit is. Is what Americans call cookies, that’s not what’s pictured apparently contains sausage which in the matrix space of "what is a cookie* is off on a distant planet in another galaxy.
The hell is biscuits and gravy?

I don’t understand people who just let the AI loose on their system and don’t have any safeguards in place. At the very minimum it shouldn’t have admin access and should be limited to just the project folders. Also back up the project folders to another location the AI doesn’t have access to.
Really basic digital hygiene is all that’s needed, and yet there are constantly stories about idiots having their entire hard drives wiped.
Yeah because I really want to match with people who use ROBLOX as a dating platform. That’s exactly this sort of person I want to go out on a date with.
